Amidst the joyous spirit of celebration, The Stony Brook School, a private boarding school in the United States, is set to embark on a momentous journey to South Korea to commemorate its long-awaited Centennial. 

This grand event was initially planned for the 2021-2022 academic year but had to be rescheduled due to the global pandemic. 

This year, with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the school community is eager to gather with Korean alumni and parents in Seoul on August 10, 2023.

The Stony Brook School holds a rich history, spanning over a century of academic excellence, character development, and global engagement. 

According to the school’s former students, Stony Brook School’s motto is ‘Character Before Career’. 

Established in 1921, the institution has grown to become a beacon of quality education, shaping the lives of countless students and fostering a strong sense of community.

The school's centennial celebrations were initially planned to take place in the 2021-2022 school year, precisely marking their 100-year milestone. 

However, the unforeseen challenges posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic forced the administration to postpone the in-person celebrations. 

Despite this setback, the determination to honor the school's legacy remained unwavering, and the administration set its sights on a future date when the celebrations could be conducted safely.

As August 10th 2023 approaches, anticipation and excitement among members of the Stony Brook community continue to mount. 

The Korean alumni and parents have eagerly embraced the opportunity to participate in the festivities, reflecting the profound impact the school has had on their lives and the strong connections that have been forged over the years.

One of the highlights of the event will be the presence of the esteemed Head of School, whose leadership has played a pivotal role in the institution's growth and success. 

Their attendance serves as a testament to the significance of this milestone and underscores the school's commitment to cherishing its alumni and fostering global connections.

The program scheduled for the celebrations promises to be a blend of tradition, camaraderie, and gratitude. 

Attendees can look forward to a series of events, including alumni reunions, interactive workshops, cultural showcases, and engaging instruments performances.
